Congratulations to the new color belts who tested on Wednesday evening at ATA's largest martial arts club in Minneapolis.
In all, 34 student tested for a new rank which included Tiny Tigers, Karate Kids, and our first class of adults. And parents and family packed the room with energy and support. It was an amazing experience for all, including three students who demonstrated exceptional leadership skills this session who were awarded their new rank with a black leadership stripe (Nora, Alex, and Sylvi). In addition, one special Tiny Tiger and Karate Kid earned the coveted gold coin for best testing according to their ability (Mathias & Owen). Congrats!
Special thanks to fourth-degree black belt Ken Hoops and second-degree black belt Shawn Mingus for serving as guest judges. I look forward to continued success in our program and thank the Minneapolis Parks and Recreation for their support.
