Perfect Practice Outside Pershing Park

Inspired by the lovely weekend weather, Lakes Martial Arts held a last-minute practice session forstudents at the Pershing Park in Minneapolis on Sunday. Eight students and parents (plus a grandparent!) enjoyed the lingering warm Fall weather while practicing in our "outside dojo."

REMINDER: Testing will be held on Wednesday, November 18 at 6pm.

Each student that had completed their parent stripe earned the opportunity to break a real wooden board at the end of the session (a big treat!).

Each student began by leading the class in a warm-up excercise. This is a big deal for Tiny Tiger's like Greta, Asher, and Tyler leading the bigger Karate Kid students!

The Karate kids and tiny tigers know demonstrate exceelence in their focus in practing deep stances. deep stances help us maintain balance so we do not fall over like weak tree roots can topple a tree.

parental support in our program is one of the key reasons our lakes martial arts community is growing stronger! Parents make for great board holders, too! Beckett was determined to break his board!
